Hi, I'm Hilary Rogers
MY BACKGROUND
Hilary Rogers brings more than twenty years of legal experience, having served in the District Attorney’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office, private practice, and the court system. Her diverse background has provided her with a unique understanding of the legal system from multiple perspectives. She currently works as the Principal Law Clerk for Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Obstarczyk, supporting the fair and efficient administration of justice and gaining invaluable insight into the judicial process. She has handled high-stakes litigation and sensitive investigations, including her work with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and has earned a reputation for sound judgment, thorough preparation, and professionalism. Throughout her career, she has also worked extensively on complex estates, guardianships, and adoptions.
A COMMITTED ADVOCATE
A lifelong resident of the North Country, Hilary grew up in Keeseville alongside her brother, raised by her parents, Larry and Mary Jane Stanley. She currently lives in Keeseville with her husband and two daughters. She attended Au Sable Valley Central School, and her children now attend it, where she developed a strong appreciation for community, hard work, and service to others.
Hilary’s legal career spans multiple roles in the courtroom, where she has developed deep experience in trial practice, evidentiary standards and case management. She has also served on the Appellate Division’s Character and Fitness Committee assessing the moral character and fitness to practice law of new graduates. Her work has required careful decision-making, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex and other sensitive matters with integrity and discretion.
She is also actively involved in the community, volunteering with youth sports and serving on local boards. Hilary is committed to mentorship and public service and values opportunities to support and guide the next generation.
